A “Christmas in July” party was held on July 28 at D&S Car Wash Equipment Company to celebrate our good fortune and release of the 200th IQ In Bay Automatic Car Wash System.

The 200th IQ system was delivered and installed on July 21, 2016 at Mach 1 Lawrenceville on State Road in Lawrenceville, Illinois.  The wash is operated by Meyer Oil and replaced an older D&S brush unit at the convenience store car wash, which is one of the highest volume stores in the Mach 1 chain.

Another major reason for the mid-year celebration is the rapid growth in sales for the new IQ 2.0 In Bay Automatic Car Wash System. “Innovation + Quality = IQ 2.0” – the next generation of the original design that builds on the technology established in the IQ platform.

During the “Christmas in July” party, a presentation outlined the dramatic growth curve in sales this year along with results from the IQ fleet, which washes thousands of cars per week and has washed over 4 million vehicles since its introduction.

Wanda Stilwell, Plant & Supply Chain Manager, addressed the staff and outlined the busy months ahead for the production facility, with all major product assembly teams at or near capacity throughout the remainder of 2016.

Jerry Canfield, Chief Innovation Officer, presented information that outlined the growth curve of the IQ and shared data from the entire IQ fleet.

Jon Jansky, President & CEO of D&S Car Wash Equipment, reinforced the technological advantage enjoyed by the IQ 2.0 over its competitors.  In addition to being the technology leader, the IQ weighs less, installs quicker, and has a smaller footprint than any other in bay automatic car wash with 3D profiling technology, allowing it to be retrofitted into more bays than any competitor’s machine.

Jansky also thanked the D&S staff individually for their dedication and commitment to the company and its product lines.  Each employee received a personalized, handwritten thank you card and gift to commemorate the 200th IQ.
