Auto Solutions Group is “Cleaning Up” in Bermuda with the IQ 2.0
When Auto Solutions Group acquired a Bermuda auto dealership in May 2013, it sold and serviced seven major brands on the island – Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and VW – but customer satisfaction ratings were low and sales were less than expected.
As an immediate point of differentiation, Auto Solutions Group began offering free car washes to all service customers and outsourced the washing locally.
As the Auto Solutions business volume grew, the local detailing contractor maxed out its ability to clean vehicles and could no longer keep up with demand.
In order to meet growing demands as well as Bermuda’s environmental resource needs, Glen Smith, Managing Director, along with Peter Richold, Car Wash Manager, selected the IQ 2.0 Soft Touch In Bay Automatic Car Wash System from D&S. The IQ’s prudent use of water, chemicals, and energy as well as its ability to clean multiple vehicle shapes and sizes made it the only logical choice.
Since installation of the IQ in mid-July 2017, Glen and Peter report the new IQ easily handles the daily work load of Auto Solutions sales and service business. In fact, it’s so efficient that future plans include offering car wash and detailing services by appointment to anyone in their 7,000+ client database and the opportunity for business clients to access the wash for commercial vehicles after normal business hours.
